Supercharge Your Social Media: From Concept to Content
The 6 Week Cohort to take you from not posting to podcasting.
Video Podcasting is one of the most powerful ways to communicate your expertise, demonstrate the value you create for your clients, and earn the trust of the people you want to reach. The difficult part is knowing what to say, becoming comfortable on camera, and creating a process you can realistically repeat.
Supercharge Your Social Media: From Concept to Content is a hands-on, six-week cohort for entrepreneurs who are ready to stop wondering what to post and start putting their expertise to work.
Throughout the cohort, you will develop ideas based on your experience, learn how to communicate one clear point at a time, and practice recording content with equipment you already own.
You will not spend six weeks sitting through presentations. You will practice, record, receive feedback, and publish content throughout the program.
What You Will Learn
During the six weeks, you will learn how to:
Identify useful content ideas based on your business and expertise
Decide what you want to say and who needs to hear it
Communicate clearly and confidently on camera
Use a simple phone-first setup for lighting, sound, and recording
Structure short videos that earn attention, provide value, and give viewers a clear next step
Prepare for and participate in a podcast conversation
Understand the roles of the interviewer, and interviewee
Package longer-form content with a strong title, introduction, and supporting short-form clips
Guide interested viewers toward your business through calls to action and lead-generating resources
Build a realistic plan for continuing to create and share content after the cohort ends
This is a working cohort. Be prepared to film and post the content created throughout the 6 weeks.
You do not need professional equipment or previous video experience. Bring your phone, your knowledge, and a willingness to do the work.
Schedule and Cost
The 6-week cohort meets from 6-8pm Tuesday evenings starting October 13th.
Thanks to a generous grant supporting this program, participants can attend the full six-week cohort at no cost.
Space is limited, and registration is required.
There will be plenty of learning, working, experimenting, and laughing along the way. Food will also be provided.
About Your Hosts and Trainers
Pj Jacokes
Pj Jacokes has spent the last two decades teaching people to think faster, listen better, and stop being so precious about getting it "right"- first through improv, now through podcasting and video.
He's the co-founder and former producer of Go Comedy! Improv Theater in Ferndale, where he also created GoU: The Improv Academy, the theater's training arm. Before that, he cut his teeth at The Second City, Detroit - working his way from touring company actor to resident stage manager to head instructor of the conservatory.
Pj spent years running team-building and communication workshops, first at GO and now with MakeShift Creative Group. Over the years, he's brought his signature training style to companies like Rocket Mortgage, BCBS, Google, The Detroit Pistons, The Detroit Lions, The National Institute of Health, DFCU Financial, and the State Bar of Michigan.
These days he's building Gabber Media with business partner Matt Naas, producing and coaching podcasts for clients across Metro Detroit - which is really just an excuse to keep doing what he's always done: help people be their best selves in front of a mic or a camera.
Along the way he's shown up on Comedy Central's Detroiters, traded lines with Eminem, andstarred in Hungry Howie's "Ad Guys" ads for eight years- ask him about it sometime.
Matt Naas
Matt Naas is the founder of Gabber Media, where he helps business owners turn their experience and expertise into clear, useful video and podcast content. His approach focuses on making content creation less intimidating by helping people discover what to say, communicate it naturally, and build a process they can realistically repeat.
Matt has been podcasting since 2016 and has hosted and produced hundreds of podcast episodes, along with short-form videos, interviews, livestreams, and client productions. His background in improv comedy and instruction shapes his hands-on coaching style, which helps participants become more comfortable thinking, speaking, and responding on camera.
Before starting Gabber Media, Matt spent 22 years at General Motors in training, communication, and customer experience. As an improv writer, performer, and trainer for Go Comedy and The Second City, he learned how to help people communicate naturally without sounding rehearsed. Today, through work with entrepreneurs and creators like Wayne County Lyfe, he makes content creation practical, approachable, and fun.
