We discuss their praise and worship bonafides, their “No thanks!” liner notes, what happens when you lend things to people, Doing_Research, taking acid and becoming religious, and whether Project 86 deserve the blessing of the Nu-Metal Canon.

Episode 136: Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water by Limp Bizkit

An episode years in the making, the Roach Koach podcast finally assembles in the Indigo Basement to discuss Limp Bizkit’s record breaking 2000 album, Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water. First we have to talk about Who’s Tweeting (4:34) with some Take a Bite Outta Rhyme Feedback along with listener questions on Zug Island, ButtStrut, and booking the ultimate Nu-Metal Concert. Then it’s time to talk Chocolate Starfish (18:04); the Robert Christgau review, the NIN beef, Jenny’s declaration “This song is a ‘Bodies.’” A discussion on which Nu-metal Front men can scrap, a new segment called Broad Talk and of course, Canon Talk, where Jenny, Lorin, and Matt decide if Limp Bizkit go three for three in the Nu-Metal Canon.
